  The Lyon County School District central office is located at 25 East Goldfield Avenue in Yerington. The District Office is open from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, including during the summer months when school is not in session. The current Superintendent of Schools is Mrs. Caroline McIntosh, who has held the position since 2008.The District is the largest employer in Lyon County, employing 582 licensed staff, 326 classified staff, and just over 400 substitute staff across 18 schools, 4 school bus yards, and the District Office.
