  We are located just fifteen miles west of Wausau, Wisconsin. Edgar is a rural community that takes pride in their school and the accomplishments of our students and staff. The entire district operates on the premise of 鈥淓dgar Excellence鈥�. This statement is the foundation for the work we do in Edgar.At Edgar we offer students and their families the ability to be highly involved and succeed both in academics and activities. We offer comprehensive courses that includes dual credit options and transcripted credit for college courses, a wide variety of clubs, organization and athletic activities, caring and nurturing teachers, a strong scholarship program, and a community that is connected to and supportive of our schools. The facilities of our district are second to none with a beautiful auditorium and state of the art fitness center that our community uses as well. We are very proud of what the Edgar community has provided their children. Our staff, students, school board, and community are highly engaged in our school. The School District of Edgar is supported by two outstanding young principals in Jordan Sinz (HS & MS) and Lisa Witt (Elementary and Curriculum Director). Our team is committed to helping our staff make Edgar a great place for kids. Our staff encourages 21st century skills in their classrooms as we equip each of our students to be college and career ready. It is our desire that each student will be engaged in a rigorous learning environment that will ensure they are prepared to pursue their dreams after high school.

• MARATHON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  The Marathon School District is committed to providing all students with a quality education and the skills they need to be successful. By developing an exceptional staff and partnering with families and the community, we will continuously improve instructional programs and provide learning experiences that meet the individual needs of students in a safe and supportive environment.

  Mission: Pursuant to Wis. S. 115.86, county Board Resolution #138-85 (11/14/85) county Board Ordinance #311 (11/13/86), participating School Boards, Marathon County Children with Disabilities Education Board agrees to do all necessary activities to provide special education including staff, materials, equipment, and other for those School Boards electing such services to the extent of the joint agreements. Goal: Ensure that all eligible children and youth receive appropriate educational opportunities within State and Federal laws.

With an outstanding professional teaching staff, a wonderful support staff, WIAA athletics, a strong emphasis in the arts aided by the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts, numerous extra curricular clubs and organizations and a topnotch library and high-tech classrooms are extras few can match.
