  The purpose of this Cooperative is to be of assistance to member schools in achieving more efficient use of their shared resources; to be of assistance in meeting or exceeding accreditation standards; and, to promote coordination between districts and the State Department of Education in order to provide services consistent with district needs.

  We are living in an era of rapid change where advantages in technology for education are occurring constantly. The mission of the East Poinsett County School District is to provide quality equitable education in a functional, safe environment for all school age children within the community. The district is dedicated to continue teaching, training, and instructing students to be mature, productive and well-rounded adults. To this end, the district will establish a well-developed educational program that will network our teachers, students, parents and community with the technology and resources necessary to compete successfully in the 21st century.

  Mission Statement The Faculty, Administration, and Board of Education of Harrisburg School District #6, attest that this institution exists for the benefit of its students. We believe that all students should be provided the best education regardless of race, sex, socio-economic background, or past academic status. We affirm that all students have the ability to attain a well-rounded education, and encourage each student to strive to reach their fullest academic potential. It is our belief that the school climate should be conducive to learning and the above tenets. We believe that an education should consist of a diverse curriculum preparing students to lead healthy and productive lives.
