  The Malta Bend R-V School District is in Malta Bend, Missouri which is located on US 65 Highway in northwest Saline County 65 miles East of Kansas City and 10 miles West of Marshall, MO. Malta Bend has a population of 243 people. It is considered a small farming community. Malta Bend R-V is a Preschool through 12th grade school with a student population of approximately 130 students and 18 full time certified teachers, the student to teacher ratio is 7 students to every 1 teacher, which makes for a more stable and personal learning experience. Extracurricular offerings at Malta Bend R-V include: basketball, volleyball, track, and football (with Sweet Springs) for athletics; FFA, NHS & STUCO for clubs and organizations.

  The Sweet Springs School District services approximately 430 students over 100 square miles in Saline, Johnson, and Pettis Counties. The school district has 80 employees, 50 certified and 30 classified. Extracurricular offerings include football, volleyball, track, basketball, baseball, softball, and a variety of clubs and student organizations. We are fully accredited by the Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education. The city of Sweet Springs has about 1600 people and is primarily supported through an agrarian economy. We are located on Interstate 70, directly between Kansas City and Columbia, Missouri. Our Mission To provide an educational environment which will encourage students to realize their potential and to serve as a resource for the community in promoting lifelong learning experiences.
