  The Bellingham School District has approximately 10,600 students and 1,300 staff members. On our K-12 campus we provide an environment where families, educators, business and community members join together to create a dynamic, exciting center for learning. Blaine, located in the northwest corner of Washington State, is an ideal place to live and visit. We believe we should enable them to become contributing members of a Democratic society. We believe continuous professional growth for educators is essential. Educators who themselves are continuous learners exemplify the wonder and excitement of learning for their students. We believe that everyone in the learning process must be given dignity, courtesy and must be held accountable for his/her actions. We also recognize individual differences and will offer equal educational opportunities to all students regardless of race, religion, creed, sex or handicapping condition. We believe in a school community partnership that will create and maintain the best possible schools for our community. We believe in providing equitable services to all schools in terms of curriculum, supplies and materials, and certificated and classified staff. The curriculum, the instructional materials, and the teaching process will be the best possible that the district can provide.

  The Meridian School District works in partnership with our families and our community to educate each student in a safe and supportive learning environment to become a positive contributor to society.

  Nestled in the shadow of majestic Mount Baker and in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the Mount Baker School District serves over 1800 students living in a geographically large (512 square miles) rural area in Whatcom County - east of Bellingham, Washington. The staff of over 300 full- and part-time employees is dedicated to excellence in the education received by these students. Mission Statement 鈥� The Mount Baker School District, working with the community, will provide all students a strong educational foundation upon which they can build their futures as productive citizens in our changing world.
