Farmington Area Public Schools (District 192) is a growing school district located in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. FOREST LAKE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Forest Lake Area School District 831 is located 30 miles north of the Twin Cities, along the I-35 corridor that runs north to Duluth. It is an area dotted by lakes, rolling hills, woods, and small towns. Many residents enjoy our rural, small town life and find they can easily commute to the Twin Cities area. CENTENNIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

The history of schools in the Centennial area dates back to the mid 1800s. In 1958 the name "Centennial" was chosen for the school district. Rather than name the district after one of it's cities, since it serves several, a name was needed that would help unite the district. Then school board member Elsa Carlson suggested the name "Centennial" to honor the State of Minnesota's Centennial.

MOORHEAD PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Moorhead Area Public Schools have a reputation for excellence. The high expectations of parents, the dedication of the teachers and staff, the visionary leadership, and the influence of three four-year colleges in the area have made the schools among the best in Minnesota, a state with a highly regarded educational system. The district is best known for three things: the superior academic achievement of its students, its far-reaching extracurricular activities, and its efficiency in operating costs. Each day approximately 5,300 students learn and thrive in the classrooms, hallways and playgrounds of Moorhead Area Public Schools. Ellen Hopkins Elementary School, Robert Asp Elementary School, and S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School serve students in grades K-5, Horizon Middle School serves grades 6-8, and Moorhead High School serves grades 9-12. The Red River Area Learning Center offers an alternative school setting and independent study options for middle school and high school learners. Each year, Community Education, a program of the Moorhead School District, offers approximately 1,000 enrichment courses to thousands of area residents. GED preparation and instruction in basic skills are offered through Adult Basic Education. The Moorhead School District, which covers 216 square miles along the Red River, is 34 miles long and 9.5 miles wide. The district includes the cities of Moorhead, Georgetown and Sabin. The district's budget exceeds $50 million.
ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE SCHOOL DIST

Fieldstone Elementary School is ranked among the top 15% of the highest performing Title I schools in the state according to a report released by the Minnesota Department of Education. Fieldstone is designated as a "Reward School," a program that will annually recognize the top performing schools. Jeanette Aanerud, Fieldstone Principal said, "I'm very proud of our students, staff and families! We have a talented and trained staff, academic interventions to help our students needing assistance in reading and math, and very supportive parents." Fieldstone is the sole elementary school in the district that receives Title I federal funding for reading and math instruction to ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards.
SPRING LAKE PARK PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Spring Lake Park School District 16 serves Spring Lake Park, Blaine, and Fridley with three K-3 elementary schools, a grades 4-5 intermediate school, a 6-8 middle school, a four-year high school, a Learning Alternatives area learning center, online distance learning academy, and Lighthouse Program for the highly able student. CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI PUBLIC SCHOOL DIST

Cambridge-Isanti School District #911 is a comprehensive Pre-K through Grade 12 district serving the cities of Isanti and Cambridge and most of Isanti County, Minnesota (population is 30,000). Cambridge and Isanti are located 50 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul on Highway 65, with the scenic Rum River flowing through our communities and district. Approximately 5,000 students Pre-K 鈥� 12 are educated with the support of over 742 staff members; 346 full or part-time teachers, and 336 support staff. The Cambridge-Isanti School District provides all children an opportunity to grow in a supportive and caring environment, and over 90% of the districts鈥� graduates continue their education pursuits beyond high school. Pre-K through Grade 2 students attend classes at one of two primary schools: Isanti Primary School or Cambridge Primary School. Students in Grades 3-5 attend either the Isanti Intermediate School or Cambridge Intermediate School. The Cambridge Middle School and Isanti Middle School house students in Grades 6-8 in their respective communities. And the Cambridge-Isanti High School provides instruction for Grades 9-12. Cambridge-Isanti recognizes the need for choice and opportunities for children and families, therefore along with the traditional school calendar, two year-round programs are offered for children in Grades K-8. Children in Grades K-5 can attend the School For All Seasons (SFAS) located at the Isanti Intermediate School, and children in Grades 6-8 can attend the Minnesota Center (MNC) housed at the Isanti Middle School. District 911 is also a member of the Oak Land Cooperative Center. Oakland is made up of three school districts: Cambridge-Isanti, Princeton and St. Francis. The two major initiatives of Oak Land are career and technical education and alternative education. Career and Technical provides leadership and technical assistance with the districts鈥� vocational programs and career centers. It also provides assistance with grant management of the Federal Carl Perkins Grant and leadership coordination of the Youth Apprenticeship Program and student follow-up data. Alternative provides a wide range of 鈥渃omprehensive services鈥� for students who may be experiencing difficulty with the traditional school setting or who may have dropped out of school. The following programs are collaborative efforts with the districts and the Oak Land; Targeted Services, Basic Skill Remediation, Academic Credit Make-up, and Middle and Secondary Level Programming. Beyond a curriculum that focuses on basic or core skills, students are challenged through additional enrichment programs such as: Renaissance Programs, Math League, Speech Team and many others all designed to recognize and celebrate students鈥� success. Programs such as Targeted Services are offered after school and during the summer to assist students requiring additional assistance in mastering basic skills to meet required standards. Cambridge-Isanti is a member of the MSHSL and participates in the Mississippi 8 Athletic Conference and the State Section 7A. The Bluejacket Activities Department offers 26 athletic programs, along with Knowledge Bowl, Speech, Mock Trial, One-Act Play and other visual arts and music opportunities. In 2009-10 Cambridge-Isanti won academic Championships in girls basketball, cross country, gymnastics, hockey, one act play, softball and speech. Boys cross country, football, one act play, speech, swimming and diving. Athletic Conference Championships were won by girls basketball, gymnastics, tennis and track & field. Boys football, hockey, swimming & diving, track & field and wrestling. Cambridge-Isanti Community Education programs serve district residents of all ages from infants through senior citizen. Community Education focuses on connecting the community, schools, cities and businesses with a goal of community development. Enrichment, recreational, athletic and arts programs and activities are among the many offerings are designed for personal growth as well as linking the community with the school system.
