OKLAHOMA CITY

Oklahoma City Public Schools is a multi-cultural district serving approximately 43,000 students. Our students are educated throughout 55 neighborhood elementary schools, 17 secondary schools, 4 special centers, and 13 charter schools located in a 135.5 square miles in the center of Oklahoma. We employ approximately 4,600 administrators, teachers, and support personnel who serve a student population which comprises of 3% Asian, 5% Native American, 20% Caucasian, 27% African American, and 45% Hispanic individuals. Additionally, 13%of our population have disabilities or special needs and 28% of our students are English Language Learners.

PUTNAM CITY

BROKEN ARROW

Broken Arrow's school district is a combination suburban community, with nearby agricultural areas and a growing business and industrial base. The school district has fifteen elementary schools, five middle schools, two intermediate schools, and one senior high school serve students. The mission of Broken Arrow Public Schools is to educate, equip and empower a community of learners by providing dynamic learning opportunities which enable all students to be successful.
NORMAN

Located in the 3rd largest city in Oklahoma and the home of the University of Oklahoma, NPS serves approximately 15,000 students in pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Led by state and nationally distinguished Superintendent Dr. Joseph Siano since 2000, it is the 10th largest school district in the state, yet has the 2nd highest number of National Merit Semifinalists and Finalists, U.S. Blue Ribbon Schools, Oklahoma Reward Schools and National Board Certified teachers. Both U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek magazine have named the districts' high schools among the top 5 percent nationally and NPS is the only district in the state to have all of its high schools recognized by both publications in 2012. In any given year, NPS earns State Championships in various athletics, fine arts and academic events. OWASSO

Owasso Public Schools is the one of the largest school districts in the State of Oklahoma. The OPS School System incorporates seventy-two square miles including territory in Tulsa and Rogers Counties. We are located just north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, divided north to south by Highway 169. The Owasso School District provides excellent physical facilities and equipment to support a quality program that meets the educational requirements of the students. School buildings and auxiliary facilities afford maximum safety, protection of health, and accommodations to the physical conditions of those who use them. In addition to an excellent teaching staff, every school has a qualified counselor and a media specialist. Owasso Public Schools also has seven, full-time registered nurses to provide health services and accommodate the needs of the students in the system.

ENID

Enid Public Schools is a student-centered district that consists of one high school, three middle schools and ten elementary schools, which are commonly referred to as "neighborhood" schools. The district also has an alternative school, as well as an adult education center. EPS offers students a rigorous, college-bound curriculum with personalized instruction designed to meet the needs of all students. The district provides enrichment/gifted education opportunities at all levels, including 16 AP classes and concurrent enrollment options at EHS. EPS also provides a comprehensive special education program with a staff that includes two national award winners. For its youngest students, EPS offers developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten to second-grade classes, with a full-time early childhood consultant on staff. The heart of the district is its highly qualified teaching staff. The district鈥檚 personnel department follows a strategic, research-based process to find the most valuable candidate for each available position. The backbone of the district is its support staff, whose members are essential to the daily mission of the system. EPS believes in educating the whole child. The health services staff includes two Nationally Board Certified school nurses. The district also works collaboratively with local social service agencies to provide students and their families with any assistance they may need.

BARTLESVILLE

The Bartlesville Public School District has six elementary schools which serve students from pre-kindergarten until the fifth grade, with an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students. The elementary schools operate with a nurturing homeroom environment to provide individual support and attention for the students. Music, art and physical education classes are provided in addition to regular classroom subjects. The secondary school program consists of Central and Madison middle schools, the Bartlesville Mid-High School and Bartlesville High School. Central and Madison are for students from grades six through eight while the Mid-High is for freshmen and sophomores. Bartlesville High School is home to the district's juniors and seniors. The combined enrollment for the four schools is approximately 3,000 students. In addition to the core curriculum, the secondary program offers a variety of courses such as foreign languages, art, music, speech and several advanced placement classes. Specialists in the areas of learning disabilities, library, counseling, physical education and vocal and instrumental music serve on staff at all 10 schools within the district. The district's special education program employs specialists to aid exceptional students with physical and mental handicaps. A team of gifted/talented consultants work directly with students and teachers to meet the needs of our gifted student population. In all, approximately 6,000 students are enrolled within the Bartlesville Public School District and the district has over 800 employees.
STILLWATER

CHOCTAW-NICOMA PARK

Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools provide instructional services in total or in part of five incorporated municipalities in Eastern Oklahoma County: Choctaw, Nicoma Park, Midwest City, Harrah, and Oklahoma City. Students receive high-quality, well-planned educational experiences within a contemporary and rich curriculum. Over 300 fully-certified instructional personnel serve district students. The educational program offered by the district reflects state and regional accreditation requirements and proficiencies. In providing the most positive educational experience possible for our students serious consideration is given to students' academic, social, emotional, and physical developmental needs. We encourage parents to participate in their child's education through volunteer work, parent-teacher conferences and parent training programs. A strong correlation exists between parental involvement in the educational process and a child's success in school. Grades K-12 are accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Education. Gifted and Talented and Special Education classes are comprehensive and available to qualified students. Each Choctaw-Nicoma Park School operates a modern Library Media Center directed by a full-time Library Media Specialist and a full-time Media Assistant. Each school offers automated circulation and current technology to provide up to date materials for students and faculty.

SHAWNEE

Shawnee Schools is a district of 4,000 students in grades PK-12 and eight school sites. Shawnee has a rich community culture reflected in the diversity of the student population composed of Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and Caucasians. The board of education and school district is committed to providing all students outstanding academic and extracurricular programs. Shawnee Schools, established in 1895, have been educating children well before Oklahoma鈥檚 statehood with the first schools. Shawnee Schools embarked upon a new era of community and district progress with the renovation of elementary sites, construction of the Middle School in 2001, the Early Childhood Center in 2007 and most recently the Performing Arts and Athletic Center in 2008. Located on the high school campus, the new performing arts and athletic facility, hosted numerous athletic events, fine art performances and Project Graduation. Last year was a tremendously successful year with many district and student successes and accomplishments. Multiple student groups and teams were recognized locally and on the state level for their championship performances. As educators push themselves to higher levels of expertise, the teaching staff continues to grow in knowledge and skills. Summer of 2009 had 552 staff participate in over 39 district workshops. Twenty-four district teachers have attained National Board Certification and all staff constantly strive to improve the learning environment for all students. From bus drivers to maintenance, all staff play a critical role in making school a successful day to day operation.

WESTERN HEIGHTS

Western Heights Public Schools is a small independent school district located on the southwest side of Oklahoma City. The District is small enough for us to know our students and large enough to provide exciting opportunities for the staff and students. For example, Western Heights has implemented a tremendous technology initiative. Teachers, parents, and administrators operate on a continual school improvement process. Site level teams identify indicators of student success and areas which need attention. Plans are continually monitored and revised to correspond to student needs. Over the past few years, Coweta Schools has experienced substantial growth. Currently, we serve over 3,300 students at eight different sites. Ardmore is nestled at the foot of the Arbuckle Mountains and is surrounded by seven lakes totaling 100,000 acres. Its strategic location on I-35, just 90 miles from either Dallas or Oklahoma City, gives Ardmore a unique market proximity. The advent of the Santa Fe Railroad in 1887 marked the beginning of Ardmore. It was named by Santa Fe Railroad agents after Ardmore, Pennsylvania, which had been named after Ardmore By-the-Sea, Ireland and means 鈥渉igh point鈥� for its lighthouse. On March 11, 1899, Ardmore City Schools held their first Board of Education meeting. After 25 meetings over a period of seven months, Ardmore City Schools opened their doors to students for the first time. The date was September 20, 1899; the place was Indian Territory. Now, over 100 years later, Ardmore City Schools is still going strong. We are proud of our diverse student population of over 3,000 students, which reflects the faces of our great nation. Our mission is to educate all students through an unconditional commitment to quality and high standards.

Skiatook Public Schools is known for its excellence, pride and tradition. Our reputation is based on excellent curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, athletic and academic teams, and a community that supports the school system. Located just north of Tulsa nestled in the Osage Hills, the community has easy access from US 75 and State Highway 20. The district serves just under 2700 students. There are approximately 180 certified personnel and 110 support personnel employed in the district. The district consists of four building sites: 2 elementary, 1 middle school, and 1 high school.

We are located in central Oklahoma just 25 miles west of Oklahoma City along I-40 at the intersection of the ever popular Route 66 and the historical Chisholm Trail (Highway 81). Our district is comprised of 7 instructional sites, including the PK-K Grade Center, the 1st - 2nd Grade Center, the 3rd - 4th Grade Center, the 5th Grade Center, the 6th - 7th Grade Middle School, the the 8th grade Junior High, and the 9th - 12th El Reno High School.
