Eugene School District 4J is a K鈥�12 public school district in and around Eugene, Oregon. The district spans 155 square miles in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley. Most of the city of Eugene (about 85 percent) lies inside 4J鈥檚 boundaries, as do the town of Coburg and a small part of Linn County to the north. More than 16,000 K鈥�12 students attend 4J schools: 18 elementary school programs, two K鈥�8 schools, seven traditional middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school focused on early college and career options, an international high school program on multiple campuses, and a life skills program. The Reynolds School District confirmed in 1954 as a consolidation of the Fairview, Troutdale and Wilkes elementary school districts. The district spans from 141st Avenue to the Sandy River and from the Columbia River on the North to SE Market Street and SE Stark Street to the South. The West Linn-Wilsonville School District covers 42 square miles in the south metropolitan area of Portland, Oregon. The district includes two towns, West Linn and Wilsonville, and a rural area of Clackamas County. The district is a K-12 public school system with approximately 8,400 students. The West Linn-Wilsonville School District prides itself on substantial staff development opportunities for its teaching staff. It is the district's belief that a well educated staff serves its students well. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores are among the highest in Oregon, and Oregon consistently ranks first or second in SAT scores nationwide for states in which fifty percent or more of the graduating seniors take the test. Approximately 90 percent of all West Linn-Wilsonville graduates go on to two- and four-year colleges.

Bethel is a growing school district in northwest Eugene that is home to approximately 5,700 students. The district encompasses 31.7 square miles, and features bike trails, wetlands, public parks, streams and a portion of Fern Ridge Reservoir. Bethel School District is proud of one of the most comprehensive high school facilities in the state. Willamette High School, with its labs, shops, three gymnasiums and performing arts auditorium, serves a student population of about 1,500 students in grades 9-12. Kalapuya High School, built specifically as an alternative high school in 2002, is home to 150 students in grades 10-12. Kalapuya鈥檚 program has served as a model for other alternative high schools across the country. The District鈥檚 two traditional middle schools, Cascade and Shasta, offer a multitude of academic choices specially designed to meet the needs of students in grades 6-8. Meadow View School, a state-of-the-art K-8 facility, opened in 1998. Prairie Mountain School, another modern K-8 school, opened in September 2002. The two schools welcome approximately 1,400 students. The District鈥檚 five elementary schools include gymnasiums, media centers, computer labs and music rooms. Clear Lake, Danebo, Fairfield, Irving and Malabon are home to about 1,900 students in grades K-5.
HERMISTON SD 8

The Hermiston School District is the largest school district in Eastern Oregon, exceeding 5,200 students, and continues to experience steady growth. It serves students in grades kindergarten through 12 with a broad range of programs from basic skills to vocational opportunities to advanced placement classes. The District employs about 280 teachers, 16 administrators and 210 support staff, making it one of the largest employers in the city. Serving some 22,000 residents in Hermiston and the surrounding communities, around 34 percent of the total population is of Hispanic origin. The athletic program includes football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, track, tennis, wrestling, swimming, soccer, and softball. Activities available include color guard, dance team, marching band, pep band, debate, rally, vocal music, FFA, DECA, and FBLA.

CROOK COUNTY SD

Crook County School District is located in Central Oregon, approximately 35 miles northeast of Bend and 19 miles east of Redmond. It has a total enrollment of approximately 3000 students. The District consists of one high school, one middle school, three in-town elementary schools, and one rural school in Paulina. In addition, the District sponsors two charter schools: a K-8 community charter school with 186 students; and a K-12 online charter school with over 230 students. The District is served by the High Desert Educational Service District.
PENDLETON SD 16

The PSD has distinct advantages not always found in districts of a similar size. Students in Pendleton schools always score well on state achievement tests. Traditionally, those students who plan to attend college score well above state and national scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test. The PSD is staffed with many dedicated long-term employees. The Pendleton schools have an outstanding music program with instruction in band, choir and orchestra at the middle and senior high schools. Pendleton sports programs have long-standing reputations for winning, attributed in large part to the tremendous community pride, spirit and tradition. Many sports start at the grade school level and continue through high school with a positive attitude and thus a winning program. North Wasco County School District serves approximately 3,000 students in Kindergarten through grade 12.
